Beautify your bathroom with Mylands paints, available in over 120 exquisite colours in a range of finishes suitable for walls and ceilings, wood, metal and floors.

Perfectly suited to bathrooms, cloakrooms and washrooms, Mylands paints are both pretty and practical with the power to transform a room.

Colour affects mood wherever it is used, and bathrooms are no exception. Before selecting a colour, consider the usage of your space; family bathrooms have a different requirement to en-suite’s or cloakrooms frequented by visitors. Think also about the style of your bathroom and the sanitary ware, furniture and accessories to establish the overall ‘look’ you’re trying to achieve.

Modern: Neutrals and bold colours work well in contemporary schemes, both on their own and combined. Try Maugham White No.2, Elgin No. 20 or Chambers Gate No. 85. Team monochrome colours with bright accents for a modern twist on a classic look – black and white with accents of French Green No.187, Huguenot No.49 or Circle Line No.45 will make a striking style statement.

Country: Opt for pretty pastels such as Mews Blue No.98, Floris No.27 or Early Lavender No.260 teamed with a soft palette of neutrals for a classic country scheme. Accessorise with floral prints or toile du jouy and a period-style roll top bath for an authentic centre-piece.

Be Bold!

Bathrooms are often one of the smallest rooms in the house and a space where you spend less time, giving you the chance to make a real statement if you wish. As you can afford to be more adventurous with colour and finish, it’s easy to add real character that’s a pleasure to live with.

Colours: Bold period-style colours create a wonderful jewel-like feel in small rooms. Try Burlington Arcade No.216, Mortlake Red No.290 or Bloomsbury No.267 offset with a white suite and gold accessories for a touch of grandeur, or chrome for a contemporary mix.

NEW! Our new Film, Theatre and Television collection comprises twenty striking statement colours from show-stopping fuchsia pink (FTT-006) and lively vermillion red (FTT-009) to a delightful dark inky blue (FTT-020), sumptuous rich forest green (FTT-012) or punchy peacock blue (FTT-017).

Specially developed for the big screen these colours have been skilfully recreated for use at home to create breath-taking colour schemes, indoors and out. Bathrooms need not be boring!

Finish: Make a statement by using Mylands Gloss paint on walls - its high shine finish creates a charming mirror-like effect that bounces light creating a jewel-box feel; truly magical in a small or otherwise unimportant space.

In general, light colours give an airy, spacious feel whereas stronger colours create a cosy feel. Neutrals are always popular as they are easy to live with and have timeless appeal. But neutrals don’t have to be white! Grey tones give a contemporary feel while red toned neutrals have a warm, friendly feel. Taupe and stony colours are particularly effective in bathrooms as they work especially well with natural materials and textures such as wood, slate, marble, stone and bamboo.

Alternatively, add an accent of colour with a feature wall which can also add definition to a space. Try Maritime No.236, Bloomsbury No.267, Oratory No.237 or Myrtle Green No.168 – wonderful as a frame to basin and vanity areas or behind a bath.
