The exhibition - the first in the UK in nearly 100 years, which is devoted to watercolours by the artist – showcases Sargent’s fascinating use of light and colour in 80 paintings from private and public collections. Renowned for his fluency and sensuality, the Edwardian artist’s watercolours are said to sparkle because of their captivating luminescence and incredible depiction of light.
